MAGISTRATES' COURTS.
CHRISTCHURCH. Monday, January 11. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.] DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. jU The following inebriates were liked:— Edward Lane, sa; J. Callagher, ss; Wm. Burgess, drunk and resisting the police, 10s; Richard Menzies, 10s; Samuel Parks, ss; Patrick Butler, 20s; Michael O'Neil, drunk and resisting the police, -10 s and cab hire; Thomas Cock, for a similar offence, 10s and cab hire; James Pierce, ss; Samuel Moore, ss; John Williams, David Hughes, Minnie Edwards, and Annie Osborne were in company for being drunk and singing iu the street on Sunday itfght, Williams was fined ss, Hughes 10s, and Edwards >a«& Osborne each 40s, or ninety-six hour* in default. ILLEGALLY ON PREMISES. John Aldridge was charged with being found illegally in the White Hart stables at a quarter to 12 o'clock the previousnight. The charge was not pressed, and accused was dismissed with a caution. Matthew Smith was arrested for being found illegally on the premises of Mr E. Donelly, Worcester street, the previous morning. The accused had been admitted to bail some time ago on a similar charge, and had failed to appear. Fined 20s on one charge, of being illegally on premises, and 40s on the other; and to forfeit £2 out of the £10; amount of bail bond.
