Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— For Dunedin, per Phoebe, on Friday, 11th inst, at 11.30 a.m. For Newcastle, N.S.W., per barque Queensland, on Friday, 11th inst, at 4.30 p.m. Letters must be specially addressed. For Fiji, Sandwich Islands, United States, South, Central, and British America, West Indies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, per Phoebe, on Saturday, December 19th inst. Hour of closing in a future notice. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
