LYTTELTON YACHTING CLUB MEETING. A meeting of this club was held at the Mitre Hotel on Friday evening, Mr P. Cunningham occupying the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting (including rules) were gone through, and the chairman stated that as it was an extraordinary it was unnecessary to confirm the minutes and rules. Mr Packard gave a verbal report for the chairman’s information as to the auspices under which the club had been formed, and also what had been done by the sub-com-mittee towards arranging for the opening day on Saturday. He also stated that he was happy to be able to state that Messrs Rolleston, Murray-Aynsley, and Maude had accepted the positions'to which they had been elected at the previous meeting. A draft programme for the opening day was submitted by the sub-committee and approved by the meeting. Mr Cunningham said that he was glad that a club had been started, and that he would forward its interests as much as he possibly could. Two of the members of the sub-committee promised to arrange about the required flags for the following day. The meeting then adjourned.
