CHRISTCHURCH. i Wednesday, December 2. (Before 0. 0. Bowen, Esq., 8.M., aiKl H. P. Murray-Aynsky, Esq., J.P.) DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. Ellen Jordan, who had been repeatedly convicted of drunkenness lately, and again arrested for the same offence, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labor, as a vagrant. DRUNK AND ILLEGALLY ON PREMISES. William Gallagher, arrested for drunkenness and being found illegally on the premises of Mr Allen, Durham street, at 11.30 the previous night, was remanded until Thursday morning for further evidence. LYTTELTON. Tuesday, December 1. [Before W. Donald, Esq, R.M.] DRUNKENNESS. Charles Brown, arrested by Sergeant Ma« guire, charged with this offence, was fined 10s, which was paid. ABUSIVE LANGUAGE. William Oldfield was charged by Mrs Mitchell with this offence. Mr H. N. Nalder appeared for accused. The Bench, after hearing the evidence of complainant, fined defendant 10s and costs. CIVIL CASE. McKeever v Salvigney ; claim £2l 7s 9d; Mr Nalder for plaintiff. Judgment for .C2l, costs £1 ss. Professional fee £2 2s. QUARTERLY LICENSING MEETING. Present—W. Donald, Esq. (chairman), H. R. The license of the Canterbury Hotel was, upon the application of Thomas Bailey, transferred to William Burnip, Ihe license of the Railway Hotel was transferred from Mr Wm Burnip to Mr John McQuilkin. The license of the Lyttelton Hotel was transferred from Robert Belgrave to Robert Cole. The license of the British stores was transferred from Mr Savage to Mr Hammond. EANGIORA. Tuesday, December 1. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq, R.M., J. T. Brown, and A. C. Cunningham, Esq). DOG NUISANCE ORDINANCE, J. Bishop, charged with being the owner of a dog unregistered, the same being above the prescribed age, was fined 20s and costs. ALLEGED ASSAULT. John Egan was charged, on the information of Thomas Povey, with having assaulted him on November 10th, at Fernside. The evidence went to show that the complainant was the first to cause the assault, and was dismissed. HOUSE ORDINANCE. LicTuses were granted to VV. Free, Ashley ; W.Williams, Rangioia; G. Fisher, Flaxton; and W. Patterson, Mandeville Plains. CIVIL CASE. J.M. Thomson v Charles Oswald ; claim £3 10a ; judgment for plaintiff by default. LICENSING COURT. [Before G.
