Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as tinder, subject to necessary alterations:— For Sydney direct, per barque Atlantic (for specially addressed letters only), on Wednesday, November 18th inst., at 10.30 a.m. For Dunedin and Port Chalmers, per Beautiful Star, on Friday, November 20th inst., at 11.30 a.m. For Dunedin and Port Chalmers, per Bruce, on Tuesday, 17th November, at 11.30 a.m. For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, Fiji, Sandwich Islands, United States, South, Central, and British America, West Indies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, per s.s. Ladybird, on Wednesday, November 18th inst., at 11 a.m. Newspapers at 10 a.m. Late letters, with the usual fee, may be posted until 12 Noon, Money orders may be procured, and letters registered until 5 p.m. this day (Tuesday, November 17th inst.).
