CHRISTCHUCCH. ' Wednesday, October 28. [Before C. C. Bowen, Esq., R.M.] DRUNK AND INSULTING- FEMALES. Thomas Bloomfield was charged with this offence. From the evidence it appeared that the accused had attempted to stop two females in Colombo street, the previous evening. He was drunk at the time. Fined 20s. or forty-eight hours. SOLICITING PROSTITUTION. Jane McMahon, an old offender, was charged with this offence. The evidence was conclusive against the prisoner, who had only been released from prison on Thursday last. Sentenced to one month's imprisonment, with hard labor.
