EAST CHRISTCHURCH SCHOOL COMMITTEE

To the Editor of the Globe. Sik, —Monday evening being the appointed time for electing a school committee fo? East Christchurch, I think it behoves the householders of said district to take -warning from the modus Oferandi of the priests in their synodical anathemas against the Education Ordinance, and of their avowed intention of being elected members of committee under such a Godless Ordinance. It evidently means they intend to rule education in their way, or why should they desire to serve under such an unholy statute. Let East Christchurch take warning from "West Christchurch, and keep the cloth, with its narrow views, from the district committee, and let gentlemen of large and liberal minds carry out our educational system. Yours, &c tl HOUSEHOLDER. High street, October 24th.
