POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, per Wellington, on Saturday, October 24th, at 10 p.m. For Dunedin, Port Chalmers, and the Bluff, per Tararua on Monday, October 26th, at 11.15 a.m. For Fiji. Sandwich Islands, United States, South Central and British America, the West Indies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, vhi San Francisco, on Saturday, 24th instant, at 10 p.m. Newspapers at 9 p.m. Money orders and registered letters at 5 p.m. If time permits a supplementary mail for letters only will be made up on .Sunday morning. All correspondence will be forwarded by this route unless specially addressed. For the Australian Colonies, India, China, Mediterranean Ports, Continent of Europe and United Kingdon, via Suez (for specially addressed letters only), per s.s. Tararua, on Monday, October 28th.
