CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, October 23, (Before A. Lean, Esq, J.P.) LARCENY. Charles Hay and John Henessy were charged with stealing a pocket book containing cheques, the property of Mr W. F. Warner. One of the cheques had been cashed by prisoners at Stringer and Co’s. Chief-detective Feast asked for a remand until Saturday, which was granted. DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. Samuel Steggall, for drunkenness, was dismissed with a caution, and Daisy Cornfoot, for a similar offence, was also discharged. CREATING A DISTURBANCE. W. F. Brown, for creating a disturbance near the Junction hotel, was lined 10s.
