Sir, —After perusing a very nonsensical letter in your issue of yesterday, signed “Decency,” I can only recommend the writer to look at any playbill bearing the Royal Arms, and he will see the motto (which decidedly applies to him) viz_: “ Honi soit qai mal y pense." [Mr Richards does not seem to be aware that there are different methods of singing a song to an audience. We can thoroughly endorse the opinions expressed in the letter of our correspondent, and sincerely hope we shall not be again subjected to the infliction of seeing a child put forward to sing and act in a manner which must be thoroughly objectionable to a respectable audience.— Ed Globe.]
