CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday, September 23 [Before G, C. Bowen, Esq., R.M.] DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. Bridget Ferrick, an old offender, charged with drunkenness, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, with hard labor. William Clark, for a similar offence, was fined 10s. LYTTELTON. Tuesday, September 22. [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] DRUNKENNESS. Charles William McEwan, arrested by constable Maguire (on remand) was brought up and fined 10s ; in default, forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. The fine was not paid. RAHGIORA. Tuesday, September 22. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.] CATTLE trespass. A. Miller and R. Head were fined 5s each and costs 6s Od, for allowing cattle to stray on the roads. POLICE ORDINANCE. Wm. Fitzgerald, charged by constable O’Shannessy with having been drunk and disorderly, was fined 5s and costs. W. Percy, charged with driving horses in his dray without proper reins, was fined 10s and costs.
