Peter McCarthy for drunkenness was finedJlOs. lunacy. Walter Smith, a young lad who had been found by Sergeant Burtenshaw wandering in the Kowai Bush, was charged on remand with lunacy. His Worship told the mother of the lad, who was in Court, that he had had her son examined by two medical men, and they were of the opinion that if he was taken care of, he might be permitted to remain at liberty.
