California Minstrels.— These artistes gave another of their performances'last evening at the Theatre Royal, and as the colds under which they are all more or less laboring have to some extent improved, the singing in the first part was decidedly better. In the second part Mr Amery, who was in capital voice, sang that fine old duet, “ The Larboard Watch,” with Mr Mayor very nicely, and it is matter for regret that the continued indisposition of Mr Campbell, the baritone of the troupe, prevents us having the pleasure of hearing the quartettes which v. ere so well.spoken of elsewhere, Mr Mavor s.-'ig his portion of the music well; and the accoriapaniments by the orchestra throughout were well played. Mr Amery also sang “ Nil Desperandum ” well, narrowly escaping an encore, which it deserved. In the farces or rather sketches which followed, Mr Rockefeller, ably assisted by Messrs Sutton and Kelly,, kept,, the house in a roar of laughter," and‘the double song and dance of 'Messrs'Kelly and Sutton, was so well done as to call, forth a loud encore, when, they gave a comical representation of a duet by two amateurs, and also a song andidance, ‘‘.How is that for high.” In the burlesque upon the- sensation scene in “ Under the Gaslight,” the whole of the cha-. racters were most comically sustained. r ; To-. night a new programme will be presented.
