Mails close at Chief Post Office for tin following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — For Dunedin, Bluff, Australia, India, China, Mediterranean Ports, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, per s.s. Tararua, on Saturday, August 29th, at 5 p.m. Money orders and registered letters, till Friday, August 28th, at 5 p.m.
Newspapers at 10 a.m., Saturday, August &9th. For Northern Provinces, per s.s. Taranaki, on Monday, August 24th, at 11.30 a.m. J. J. Fitz Gibbon, Chief Postmaster,
In consequence of the alteration in the time table of the Canterbury Railways, the mails for Kaiapoi, Raugiora, &c., (North Road line) on and after Monday next, August 24th, will close at the chief Post-office at 6.30 a.m.
