Wellington, August 14. The following Gazette notices have appeared:—The following Provincial Ordinances have been allowed by the Governor : —The Racecourse Reserve Ordinance, Amendment Ordinance ; The Lyttelton Harbor Reserve Ordinance. The following have been left to their operation:—Reserve No 804 Ordinauce, 1872, Amendment Ordinance ; Railway Tolls and Management Ordinance, 1872, Atuei"!ment Ordinance; Public Seal Ordinance \ meadmeut Ordinance; and Appropriation Ordinance. Letters of naturalisatic , have been issued under the Alien's Act, 1 .-• >(>, in favor of Mr Von der Heyde, merchant, Auckland. The following Volunteer Corps are disbanded:—" Company 2, Canterbury Engineer Volunteers;" "Company 2, Canterbury Uifle Volunteers." The following appointments of; ; Volunteer officers have been made —Canterbury High School Riile Volunteer Cadet Corps—Honorary Lieutenant, James Ronaldson Thornton to be Honorary Captain. Date of commission, July 10th. Alfred Dawson to be Honorary Lieutenant. Commission same date. Mr Edward Spencer Harvan Bell, has been appointed Cadet in the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Stamps, vice Mr tlartland resigned. The appointment to dnte from the Ist hist.
