J. Grossman vSt G. Ryder, claim £8 10s ; no appearance of defendant; judgment for plaintiff for £7 10s, the Bench striking out; a claim of £1 for expenses allowed defendant on a former day, when plaintiff did: not appear, although-the latter said he could have shewn that defendant did not come expressly from Oxford to defend the case,; and also that he had ho defence to make.
