If proved alien serious complications will arise. The counsel for Craig moved in the Supreme Court for a rule to set aside the award in the arbitration case Craig v Macfarlane. It is understood that the settlement of the long-standing feuds between Harris and Macfarlane entirely has fallen through, and this cause celebre of Auckland province is likely to be continued. Tlie arbitrators awarded Captain Casey £1625 as salvage of the Miltiades. The Star of the South has arrived from Fiji. She reports that it is supposed in Levuka that the vessel reported ashore on Wallace Island by the Oyphrenes is the French frigate Arcona. The news generally is unimportant. Wellington, August 6.
