Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations : For Dunedin, Bluff, Australian Colonies, India, China, Mediterranean Ports, Continent of Europe, and United Kingdom, via Suez (for letters specially addressed only), per s.s. Tararua, on Saturday, August Ist, at 11 a.m. Late letters will be received until 11.45 a.m. Newspapers at 10 a.m. For Timaru and Dunedin, per p.s. Comerang, on Saturday, August Ist, at 11.30 a.m. For Akaroa, Timaru, Oamaru, and Dunedin, per s.s Maori, on Saturday, August Ist, at 4.30 p.m. For Dunedin direct per s.s Ladybird, Aug Ist, at 11.30 a.m. J. J. Fitz Gibbon, Chief Postmaster.
