POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — For Timaru and Dunedin, per s.s. Beautiful Star, on Saturday, July 25th, at 4.30 p.m. For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, Fiji, Sandwich Islands, United States, South Central, and British America, West Indies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c., &c., via San Francisco, per s.s. Cyphrencs, on Wednesday, July 29th, at 7 a.m. Late letters with usual fee will be received until 7.55 a.m. Newspapers at 5 p.m, July 28th. Money orders and registered letters till Tuesday, July 28th, at 5 p.m. J. J. Fitz Gibbon, Chief Postmaster.
