Schooners—Jane Hannah, Onward, Alert, Streamlet, Spray, Ocean Bird, Emerald. Ketch —Clematis. The schooner Alert cleared the Customs yesterday for Greymouth. The s.s. Maori sailed for Dunedin and intermediate ports last night. The brig Wave, Captain McKenzic, arrived in harbor on Tuesday, and anchored at 4.30 p.m. The captain reports that sbe left Oamaru at 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday, the loth, and proceeded to Timaru, wind being strong from the S.W., and raining heavily ; arrived at 11 p.m., and anchored in a safe berth. Discharged 30 tons coals, original cargo, and took in 1600 sacks wheat, the sea being smooth, and the weather flue. Completed loading and left at 8 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived off the heads at 9 p.m. on Sunday. The weather at that time was terrific, the wind blowing a strong gale, accompanied with squalls of snow and sleet. Was driven fifteen miles off the land during the night. On Sunday and Monday there was six inches of snow on the dock. Kan into Mcintosh Bay and anchored for shelter. Left again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, arriving as above. The brig brings a cargo of wheat for the s.s. Atrato. Ai soon as she is discharged she is chartered for another cargo.
