Dissatisfaction is caused through the nonreceipt of the writ for the Waitemata district, although gazetted vacant on the 12th of June. The year's customs revenue amouuts to £190,464. Wellington, July 5. Arrived this morning, James Wishait, barque, from London and Plymouth, 102 days out, with 267 immigrants; nine children died, the rest are well. Arrived later, Queen of Nations, ship, from Liverpool and Belfast, 103 days out ; three deaths occurred, the rest are well. She brings 367 immigrants. THIS DA TS TELEGBAMB. Wellington, July 6. The City of Adelaide arrived yesterday morning. She sailed in the afternoon for A u ctl TIICI His Excellency and Lady Ferguson visited H.M.S. Challenger on Saturday to inspect the scientific instruments. The Challenger sails for Auckland to-day or to-morrow morning. Alexander McDonald, who, under pretence of acting for.some Manawatu natives, stopped her Majesty's mail and shot Young's coach horse, pleaded giilty. Mr Travers, his counsel, called no witnesses as to general character. The Judge intimated that the offence was punishable with fourteen yeais' imprisonment, but owing to the importance of the case he reserved judgment. The natives take no interest in the case, as none appeared about the Couit.
