t R OSPECTUS OF THE GOOD TSMPLAK HALL COMPANY (LIMITED), CHRISTCHURCH. To be incorporated imder the Joint tock Companies' Act. Capital—£lsoo, in 1500 Shares op £1 each. To be paid as follows : Two shillings and sixpence on application ; two shillings and sixpence on allotment ; and fifteen shillings in three calls of five shillings each, at intervals of not less than three months. The success which has attended the establishment of Good Templarism in Christchurch, and the large and increasing field open for further and more extensive operations, furnish proof that there is ample room for the establishment of a Good Templar Hall ; and the objects that the Directors of this Company have in view are—1. That a good substantial Hall, with Reading and Ante Rooms, be built on ground to be purchased for that purpose. 2. That the Reading and Ante Rooms be open to all Good Templars and Shareholders every evening. 3. That the Hall be let for Entertainments or other purposes when not required by Good Templar bodies. After a very careful computation, the Directors fully believe that the income to be derived from the Hall, through the various Good Templar Lodges and other sources above-mentioned, will be such as to yield a good dividend to Shareholders, and they have every confidence in issuing this prospectus. THIRTY-NINE TENDERS required for the Supply of the undermentioned articles to Thirty-nine Members of the Provincial Council, for the year ending 1874-5 : Thirty-nine opossum rugs, thirty - nine knee rugs, (first quality) ; thirty - nine dozen of Cookham's elastic-side boots, (best quality) ; thirty-nine superior dress cloth coats, trowscrs and vests, thirty-nine tweed ditto ; or, according to taste. Thirtynine best quality top coats, thirty-nine Inverness capes, thirty-nine best Paris belltoppers, thirty-nine common ditto. Underclothing to be supplied by the Government, thirty-nine dozen pairs of white kid gloves, thirty-nine dozen of mufflers, thirty-nine dozen best sherry, port, and moselle, thirtynine dozen boxes of cigars, and thirty-nine dozen gallons of Ward's beer or Kaiapoi (according to taste and sample),thirty-nine dozen of clay pipes, thirty-nine pounds of tobacco, thirty-nine railway carriages, to be fitted up with bedsteads and sofas, with toilettables, gas, and hot-water bottles, brushes, and cupboards, &c, and thirty-nine dozen of railway free passes, edged with gold, and only transferable when an opportunity offers. Contractor to take old clothing in exchange, in lieu of discount, for cash. The lowest tender will not necessarily be accepted. Tenders to be sent in by the 31st February. rHE following extract from the Regulations for the Registration of Life Policies is published for general information : 1. Every policy-holder, who is such in respect of a policy granted or entered into in New Zealand by a Company who sh all have made a deposit of securities under the Life Assurance Companies Act, 1873, may, if the policy or contract has been made before the commencement of the said Act, register such policy with the Public Trustee within twelve months after the commencement of the said Act, but not after ; and if made after the commencement of the said Act, then within six mouths after the making thereof. (N.B.—The Ist of November, 1573, is fixed as the commencement of the Act.) 2. The person intending to register a policy shall either deliver the same to the Public Trustee at his office in Wellington, or may deliver the same to an agent ; and every such person shall make application to register such policy in a form which cau be obtained at any Post Office in the colony at which Money Orders are issued. 3. The Public Trustee shall make and keep a book for the registration of policies, in which the particulars of each policy shall be recorded. •1. There shall be paid to the Public Trustee by the policy-holder a fee of live shillings ou the registration thereof. 5. Each policy shall bear a registration number according to the order in which it has been received, and when registered the Public Trustee shall make and sign a memorandum thereon in the form or to the effect following : No. Registered in pursuance of the Life Assurance Companies Act, 1873, this day of IS .
