COMMERCIAL.
Auckland. —The “ Southern Cross” of June 20th reports :—Since our last commercial summary the chief arrivals have been the Camilla from Sydney, which has added to stocks of maize to a limited extent, and brought 1200 bags of bouo dust ; the
Oberlin, from Adelaide, with 3400 sacks Hour and 118 bags bark; and the Kenilworth, from the .South Sea Islands, with produce. The barque Serene took 3035 eases, 281 bags of gum, 801 bales flour for New York last week, and the Florence will complete loading to-morrow for the same port and will have upwards of 3,000 eases of gum, &c. Her inward cargo was placed upon the market with the exception of some kerosene ; the consignees out of 0,000 cases have exported 3,500 cases and 100 cases of furniture. The weather has been rather unfavorable for general business, but there has nevertheless been the average amount of activity in the market. In breadstuffs, the cargo of the ‘ Oberlin,’ given above, has added to stocks a quantity of Adelaide flour, which was much required. We understand that Hart’s superfine has realised £l7 10s per ton. Southern flour is scarce in the market, and may be quoted all round at £l4 per ton. Bran, imported, Is 8d; oats, 5s Gd ; maize, 7s; barley Gs 6d ; oatmeal, 26s ; pearl barley, 28s ; peas and beans, 5s Gd per bushel of 501bs.
