LYTTELTON POST OFFICE.

To the Editor of the Globe'. Sir, —Public attention haa already been drawn in a forcible manner to the state of our post office. At the present time it appears that there is either no inspector of post offices, or else he is very remiss in carrying out his duties, by allowing this building to be used as a post office. ~He may have, and I hope has, reported its condition to the General Government; In any case I think our Member in the House of Representatives might' take upon himself the duty of asking what steps, if any, have been taken towards the erection of a new office, and a more secured building for the custody of the letters of the public. Yours, &c, Resident. Winchester street, Lyttelton.
