A soldier’s coat was among the material, which not burning, prevented the success of the attempt. The building is in the centre of a wooden block. If the fire had once caught, the loss must been extensive. Dunedin, June 22. A slight shock of earthquake was felt at seventeen minutes to six on Saturday morning.
