RIFLE ASSOCIATION CONCERT.

To the Editor of the Globe.

Sir, Seeing an advertisement in the “ Press” of this day, that the Rifle Associa* tion are giving a concert on Thursday, June 18th, in aid of the above funds, I think it a great pity the officers have selected that night as our annual performance takes place on that night for the b mefit of the widow and orphans’ fund, and as many of our members belong to the volunteers, it will tend to in* jure both; whereas, if the concert is altered, it would no doubt benefit both parties ; and as we have engaged the Theatre for that night, and every arrangement being complete, it will not be possible to put it off. Hoping the members of the Rifle Association will kindly take this into their serious cousideration, I remain, &c, Henry Crooks, President Widows’ aud Orphans’ Fund,
