. VATICAN CJTY. Dec. IS. twice to-day has St ' Peter'- resounded with cheers and scintillated vith the glittering uniforms of tho Vatican Court in honour of ELL English martyrs on whom tile Pore has conierrod by beatification r, _ cognition of their virtues in defence ot their Church.

The Pope, was dressed in full Poi--lihcial robes, covered completely by a rich cream-coloured, silken mantle decorated m silver, and with the gorgeous Triple Crown upon his head.
