TRACK NOTES (By Cynic.) ; Rrimax (Adams) was the first to work on Monday doing light .work on the plough. The bay gelding is apparently not thriving on racing. Helium, Little Gift, White Wings, and St. Ames were all given tasks of g. mixed nature, which were light in view of Die rough trip down on the bont. They all appeal-' to be making a. good, recovery. Running Over, Fair Autumn, and Rich Harvest were all out doing light mixed tasks and appear none the worse for racing. ,Manifest (Gomni) went , a-couple of rounds at half -pace, going well. . IJighcourt; (Gray) went a couple of rounds 'at steady half-pace,, and is apparently, none the • worse' for his race in-the Cup. Superb King :(Butterworth), wen t • a round,- of .the.: schooling, fences The gelding shaped moderately, and probably would have gone better with a mate. . , V , ....- - .King AVanga (Nixon):.wont a working.gallop, over: four furlongs. Bold Front- (Tvowluii). .'hit".out' well over tw.O 1 rounds at half , pace on the plough, ■■ . - " ■ . , . Bob In, the fnll-sister : to’Sihgletpp,: is coming on fast in ,he>r ' ‘(York';. arid;; will have a race at Tolnga,.-ail goiing well,'
Ardri and Tea Lady woro given steady work .oh the- plough. ,
Atapai;and Abbey Dale wore', the only members of W. Donaldson’s team to work, both-being apportioned liglit tasks.
! Sunglaro -(Adams) which has lightened up a bit as the result of his two faces, was given an easy. task.
Otehe, lago, Outfit, Ivinsel, Whakaari . and Veloce wore .all set mixed tasks, none being of>a fast nature.
j Kakarik’i (Atkins) went two rounds on the course proper at a slow pace.
J. White's team consisting of Tan, Autumn Sun, G-ia/noryiForuff, and the Miss Rexer filly were-all out doing steady, work. ■
Queer Card was brought to. the track, hut not worked. There is nothing wrong with the black-son of Autumn, however: 1 '
Tama Waiata, Russet Moor, Purseful, Scarlet Runner, Squadron,, and Gold Pennant were all., given slow work on the plough.
Coonardoo (C. France) wc-nt six furlongs in 1.19.
Cynet-to (C. France) went four furlongs in 52 3-ssec.
Dimmer (O. Fiance) ran five furlongs in 1.8. The grey does not hit oiih’at his best when doing it by himself.
Erin’s Bov (C. Fi-ance) ran five inrlengs in 1.6, doing, it easily.
High I leather, Plain Sailing and Sail Quox were exorcised on the beach.
j. vL,’Plummer took a- trip to Wairoa 'and”brouglit Ata Haore hack with him. The hay filly ran twice without •success at Wairoa.
Toboggan was not herself last Saturday. and it will occasion no surprise if the b-l.Tfk.JiHy is a; non-starter al Makarnka.
Essential looks none the worse lor his two races and' should the gelding school well this morning will take his place in the First Hurdles, in which he will he ridden by A. Trieklohank.
Waitoki met with an .accident on Saturday night, which will cause the Fig gelding to forfeit his engagements at Tolaga-
Autumina eonttnues to stand up to her work and looks wiell, ties pi le the fact that she has had a fair share of racing.
Princess Elizabeth anti Ahisogne appear to- he a bit light in condition, at present anti their prospects lor the immediate future are not bright.
. Tamvorth will he A. Dixon s representative in the. jumping races when the track gets softer. The Mnndiineel gelding was soon finishing on well on Saturday, and is a finished jumper. • •-. .
Manifest- has not run a had race so’far, and it appears, as if the ehestnnt goltling is developing into a jumper, as he is likely to be well se; isoned to the business.. A good stake may come his owner s way at some of the big meetings.
Prior to the Wairoa meeting Russet Moor was responsible for a. good gallop over four furlongs, and in consequence his dividend on Saturday was a very good one, considering .that he had the services of H. Goldfinch.
;). Lowry took Keen liome after ■racing on 'Saturday. Neither on the track nr in his.races, did the bay geld ng show any brilliancy, and in his pKsent form" will find it hard to win.
