PARROT FEVER
MARTYRS TO SCIENCE. TWO SCIENTISTS DEAD. United Prese Assn, by El. Tel- Copyright WASHINGTON, Feb. 9. Dr. William Royal Stokes and Dr. Harry Anderson, officials of the hygienic laboratory oi the Enitetr States Public Health Service, who handled parrots affected with psittacosis. have died of the fever. Both took extreme precautions during the experiments. Xevertlteless they caught the malady and became desperately ill. Nine days following Hi< tirst exposure. Dr. Anderson died.
