MISSING WILKINS
ALL WHALING SHIPS NOW IN SEARCH INTREPID EXPLORER ANTICIPATED TROUBLE (Special to Press Association') (All Rights Reserved.) (Received Fob. 10, 10 p.m.! NEW VO RE, Feb. 9. A wireless message from Deception Island states that all whaling ships in the region have dropped other pursuits, and are endeavouring to locate Sir H. Wilkins. No white man since IR7-I has visited the area Wilkins intended to explore. Wilkins himself in his last despatch anticipated possible trouble. He stated: “Rescue in case of accident would bo difficult, but- it is worth the effort. Wo are unlikely to be able to send radio news for some days. Our trip is likely to last three weeks.”
