Copyright NEW YORK, Fob. ft Another attempt to realise on the ill-starred Russian crewn jewels came to light after tlie body ol Leopold Strassen, a diamond dealer, was taken from a closed automobile in which lie drove into Long Island Sound early this morning. Tn a pocket was a small typewritten memo, unsigned: “If the bearer is able to sell Rockefeller two diamonds for 6200.090 he gets 25 per cent, commission.’' Samuel Brnisen, a diamond importer, told tho police that he had commissioned Strassen to sell two square out stones, one brilliant green and the other pure golden, presented in 1342 by a Russian grand duke to the mother of tho slain Czarina. Braisen said ho purchased these stones in Belgium in 1922.
