When she (the mother) reached the jstreet, she saw
the child arm in arm with a man walking in the direction of waste ■ground, which was the scene of the last murders. She called out and the man ran and succeeded in mounting a passing tram’. The mother’s description tallies with the police description of Ihe "Ripper.”
