STATE SHOULD AID WOOL GROWERS. (Press Association./ STRATFORD, Fob.-3. The following resolution was passed by the Whfcmgamomona branch of the Farmers’ Union and forwarded to the Prime Minister: “In view of the recent slump in wool prices, this branch of the Farmers’, Union urges the'Government to call a conference of representatives of wool and Stock agents, auctioneers, representatives of the Government and farmers to consider the advisability of assisting farmers who desire to hold their wool clips by way of making suitable advances against such wool. As the Iturad Intermediate Credits Board lias the necessary machinery to undertake such a scheme immediately, the Government should make every endeavour to equip the hoard with the necessary•-finance and power to enable -the board to assist in the manner indicated .at the earliest opportunity.”
