Forecast

Winds light to moderate and variable s outh-eHsterlies prevailing over the North Island. Seas smooth in most parts but moderate-to rather rough about East Cape. Variable winds in the eastern Tasman, easterlies prevailing in the northern portion and westerlies in Whe southern; seas .smooth or moderate.

Weather tine generally, with rising temperatures. The fine weather is likely to continue over the weekend.
