MATAWAI STOCK SALE

There was a quiet sale at Matawai on Wednesday when 1200 sheep and a few cattle ivoro offered to a good attendance, mainly of local farmers. About half tho yarding was disposed of at low prices. The sheep were mostly of inferior type, old ewes with a few small 2-ths, and the only lambs wero a pen of culls. The cuttle were dairy sorts with a* few station cattle. Five-year-old owes in low condition and mixed in wool brought from 12s Gd to Ms; while small 2ths made from IBs 6‘d to 17s 3d. The oattlo Bold at late market rates.
