The alleged kidnapping of General Ko'u'topoll.', successor to the Grand Duke Nicholas as the leader of the refugee. Russian officers m Paris led to Soviet recriminations against a suggestion that Cheka is responsible for his disappearance. An official message i-om Moscow hints that General Koiitopotf, fearing displacement, went to South America taking a considerable siiin of the Monarchist funds for safe keeping! Meanwhile, M. Dovgalinsky, the Soviet Minister in Paris, has twice appealed, to authorities to protect the Embassy against a raid by. the White Russians. The police declare there were no grounds to expect a raid, but quickly strengthened the guard. Another report says that General Koiitopotf is hiding in Switzerland;
