SATISFACTORY PRICES
There was a largo attendance of buyers at a stock sale held at Tiniroto on Tuesday. Of a total yarding of 5700 sheep. 4100 -were sold under the hammer and many, of the passed lot K were sold privately. Prices were ■ estimated to be about Ls per head in advance of late Matawhoro rates. Prices ranged as follows : Two-tooth -ewes, lGs lOd to 21s Gd: 4, 0 and Bth ewes, 15s 7tV to 22s Id; 5-vr ewes, 11s Gd to IGs; G-vr ewes, its 9d to 17s 2d; 2-th wethers IGs Tld to 17s Id: wetliei lambs. 13s ld_: cull lambs, mixed sex, 4s Gil to 7s Sd.

At the weekly metropolitan market at Addington to-day fat sheep values recorded- a. decline on last week's salo. Beef remained firm, a.s also did prices for ’fat \ lambs. Dairy cattle.—There ’was a-- large yarding and a spirited sale. Good quality cows and heifers sold at advanced rates, other suits showed no change. A Shorthorn second culver brought £lB 10s, good second and third culvers <Ol4- to Flo jus, others £0 to .013, good heifers .Old to .015, others .08 to £l2.
Store cattle.-—There was a mixed quality yarding and a satisfactory sale at late rates. Two years steers brought up to £O. Potting bulls sold well, the ton price being £.lO ss. ,
Fat pigs.—A medium entry and values a, little easier. Choppers made 50s to £8 Is, baeouers £3 los to £O, average price per lb. 7d to Bd. iporkers i£2 10s 'to- £3 8s (id, average price per lb. 8-kl to 91d. Store pigs.—A small entry and a good sale. iVeaners- showed a sharp rise on late rates. Stores made Ills to 335, slips 30s To - 335, weaners 22s to -31 s.
