The Government have come to an arrangement with the Liberal Party, whereby they have agreed. to postpone consideration of part- of the Coal Mines Bill, which deals with marketing coal, until tfie other sections of the Bill have been disposed of. It is in regard to the marketing proposals that there is opposition, while on other sections dealing with the hours of work, National Wages Board, anil amalgamations, there is substantial agreement oil the Government and Liberal benches. Tlio Government roly upon Liberal support to defeat the Conservative opposition to the Bill. Tlie Hon. W. Graham, President of tho Board of Trade, announced tlio arrangement when tho House of Commons went in committee on tho Bill to-day. He said til© Government attached the greatest importance I<> part- I. of tho Bill, and they did not yield one inch' of it in its present form. One of tho advantages of postponement, however, would bo that they could direct their minds to a further analysis of tho proposals, and do their best to reach an agreement with Liberal views. '

Conservatives opposed tlie procedure which, liowover, was adopted.
