TWO BOMB EXPLOSIONS

A crime wave in Chicago almost unparalleled even for this city was augmented to.day by a gang murder, the fourth; in as many days, and two bombings, one in a theatre crowded• with women and children. Forty hold-ups were listed oil the notice records in a lO.hour period. Shooting, robberies, and slugging!* u the meantime also continue unabated. There wore oUO women and children in a theatre in Hinsdale, a sub. urb of Chicago, when the bomb blast shook the building. They stampeded for the exits, screaming with fear. There was a crush in the doorways and many were .in peril of being trampled to oath. The second bombing destroyed three shops and rocked the entire south-west side of Chicago early this morning. Thousands of residences within a radius of two miles were jarred and the streets filled with terrified men. women, and children, many in their night clothes. None was reported injured.
