Her wedding gown was of white velvet, moulded to tub figure, with a sixyards train falling from the waist and she wore a halo of pearls and bracelets of orange blossom and carried red roses. There were eight bridesmaids, wearing low gowns of the same pat. tern as the bride’s, but in red velvet-. They were: Alisses Eileen Joel, Doris Thomas, (daughter of Mr. J. H.. Friday afternoon. when a charmingly arranged children’s party was given for the hostess’s small son, Bill. The weather was all that could lv> desired, brilliant (Sunshine with, a slight cool breeze, and the garden which is always a place of delight, formed an alluring background to the youthful guests. There is something extremely fascinating about a children’s party, and a number of grown-ups mijoyod the fun quite as much as the tiny folk. Jolly games were eiitoreii into with the greatest enthusiasm a, peanut hunt being the duel attraction. A joyous company sat down to a wonderful party tea. on the verandah, which was canopied with rainbow streamers, balloons of every hue and Chinese lanterns representing quaint birds. Gay paper hats were distributed and donned amidst much laughter. Crystal vases of shaded caunas surrounded by enchanting favors adorned the table. Indoors the rooms were attractive with a wealth of flowers. Huge bowls of hydrangeas decorated the lounge, while the drawingroom was adorned in golden tones,zinnias, caunas, and miniature sunflowers being artistically arranged, and in the diningroom where tea was served magnificent rose colored caunas ornamented the table. As a finale to the Wciercnga-o-kuri Sports Club’s annual mooting a. very jolly dance was held in the local hall. There was an attendance of fully 800, and Hie gay decorations which consisted of streamers of every line and masses of greenery, formed an effective background to tho dancers.
