BEACH GALA
AT THE WAIKAXAE TO-DAY. Waikanae beach, this afternoon and evening, will be the scene of another special effort to obtain funds for the Macßae Bath. A monster gala is being held and given the ideal weather which has prevailed lately, there should he a record attendance. Children aie being particularly well catered for and games, races, sand-building competitions, and other amusements should afford eycry child a gloriously happy time. Of particular interest, too, will he further pierrot performances by that popular troupe known as “The Breezy Buslcer-s.” Mr. Clive Hindle, a baritone from Christchurch, quite new to Gisborne audiences, will ho a special attraction both in the afternoon and evening. He is considered by competent judges to be the equal' of any professional who has ever sung in Gisborne and is a real master of his art with a voice of superb quality and finish. Music lovers should make a point of hearing h: ni. Morrow’s jazz band will provide dance music and the City Band will also give a concert in the evening.
