ARAPTJNI SCHEME DELAYED ✓ BY FLOOD DAMAGE. HAMILTON, January, 28. The flooding of the foundations at the power site at Arapuni through the river breaking tlircugh during the October floods, means a delay in the completion of the main scheme. The three-year contract expires next August, but an extension of time for probably six months will be sought. The other works in connection with this big undertaking are well advanced.—R.A. OTAGO FARMERS 'FAVOR SUMMERTIME BILL. DUNEDIN, Jan. 28. The expressed policy of Dominion headquarters of the Farmers’ Union against the Sidey Summer Time Bill was rejected by the local branch yesterday, which resolved to inform headquarters that the branch favors the proposals. At the same meeting it wawesolved to forward to the Dominion secretary a recommendation that capitation levy be reduced from 6s 6d to ss. The mover stated that while the branches starved for money for development work, headquarters was amassing a large fund. WELLINGTON BOWLING CLUB CASE NO OBLIGATION TO ISSUE SHARES TO SIEV WRIGHT * WELLINGTON, Jan. 28. Judgment for the Wellington Bowl-, ing Club was given to-day by the reserved judgment of Sir Charles Sker.rett in the ease in which James Dickson Sievwright sought to have a share in the company 1 (y reason of an alleged contract made to him. Sir Charles said that the proceedings taken in 1924 to expel Sievwright and forfeit his share were taken on the assumption that Sievwright was a shareholder. The company, however, had over-issued the capital? and though Sievwright’s name was on the register he could not become a legal shareholder, and there was now no obligation on the company to issue a share to him, the original contract lieing wholly void.
