SAFE BLOWN OPEN AT LOWER HUTT. WELLLNGTON, Jan. 25, At four o’clock on Monday morning a safe in the office of King George’s Theatre, Lower Hutt, was blown open and some of the contents stolen. The office is situated in the Arcade in the Town Hall buildings. The door of the office had been forced and a charge of explosive used on the safe, which blow the door completely oh. The sound of the explosion was heard, however, and the burglars wore dis • t-urbed by the approach of a person who was proceeding to investigate.
