SPLIT OVER DELEGATION TO AMERICA. TRADES HALL COUNCIL THREATEN TO BOYCOTT A.W.U. MELBOURNE, Jan. 24. The Trades Hall Council is threatening an industrial boycott of the Australian Workers’ Union. Unless the latter complies with the policy of the Trades Hall Council in connection with the industrial delegation to the United States, steps will be taken to prevent ether unionists working with, members of the Australian V orkers’ Union. The seamen also threaten to prevent the delegation leaving Australia.—U.P. A. ADELAIDE. Jan. 24. The Tracies and Lai.or Conned tarried a resolution repudiating tne_ industrial delegation to the United States. —"L .R.A. TRADES UNION COUNCIL SEEK AID OF SEAMEN (Received Jan. 25. 12. 5 a.in.) SYDNEY. Jan. 24. At a stop-work meeting of the Sydney branch of the Seamen s Union, a deputation will be received from the Trades and Labor Council requesting that direct action be taken to prevent the steamer Makura sailing ior America on February 24 with the Commonwealth. Industrial Mission aboard unless Mr Jock Garden i2 included in the personnel of the mission.—U.P.A.
