There was a tragedy in the Swansea Police Court. Elizabeth Scott, a widow, 58, sought to. have a. landlady bound over to keep the peace. The widow declared she was not afraid of the landlady in a physical sense-,, but was afraid - of the threateiungs of the landlady, who had tried to- evict her from the rooms during the past seven years-. It would kill her. Hardly had the widow’s son given evidence than she fell, and died in a few minutes.—A. and N.Z.CLA.
