Falling from his horse at Patutahi on Tuesday, a man named San dan. Steinberg, a Hussion by birth, and a returned soldier received severe in- 1 juries to which he succumbed almost immediately. After covering a distance, of about 30 yards at a gallop Steinberg appeared to lose, control of bis mount, overbalanced, and fell on his head. Witness rushed up to the prostrate man, who was lying only about 1-50 yards away, but when! he got there- Steinberg was dead. ' i Airs.
