TOKIO, Nov. 3. With a view to checking the increasing tendency for smuggling gold from the country, also in line with the Government’s ban on _ luxuries through the imposition of high duties on luxurious articles, the Government has issued Instructions to substitute the current market rates for the former fixed rates for sales of gold bars.
