The funeral took place yesterday from her parents! residence, McLean Street, of Bertha Florence Holmes, third daughter of Mr and Mrs G. "Hoirne:-. Tin, dry-eased: who wills only fourteen years of age, was very popular with her schoolfellows in the sixth st uidiml at the Gisborne main school. In charge of Mr L. J. Plank the boys and girls of that standard attended the funeral, a large number of wreaths being taken by the childieii. Six of the lads acted as pallbearers, while the remander cf the hoys and girls formed up into linos through which the coffin was carried. The service at the graveside was’ conducted hv the Rev. G. Frost.
