TRAM AND BUS COLLIDE
PASSENGERS GET OUT THROUGH ROOF. NO ONE SERIOUSLY HURT. AUCKLAND. Nov. 1. A collision by a tram and motor bus occurred in Svmonds Street this morning . The bus was carried by the tram fiftv-four feet until the bus hit a centre pole, when it capsized. sixteen occupants _ escapingwith a few cuts and bruises. The bus was a closed conveyance, with glass side screens. Most of the latter were broken. A hole made in the roof provided-an exit for some or tho passengers.—P.A.
