NOTES. The Arahura arrived .at 8 a.m. on Saturday from Napier, and sa.led for Tokoinaru Ray and Auckland at 7.40 a.m., arriving there at- 2.30 p.m. yesterday. The Wanaka was expected to leave Dunedin on Saturday. After completing loading at Oamaru, Tlmaru, Ljttolton and Wellington, the vessel proceeds to Napier, Gisborne and Auckland to discharge. She is due here about November 10. The Eaton left Newcastle for Tokomaru Bay on Thursday. She is due at the latter port on Wednesday evening and at Gisborne about Nov. 10 to discharge coal.
The Tejpfoha is due to sail for WTiiroajw)is evening. Thotfpfupouri is expected to sail for tluypCorth this evening. Alako has been working the Coastal bays, and is timed to arrive at Auckland to-night. The Tiroa is timed to arrive at Auckland, after walking the Coast, about Tuesday. The Koau, which is , due at this port to-day loads for Tokomaru Bay and Tolnga Bay. The Nobel’s Explosive Co. will soon launch their vow vessel the Miro. which should commence running early next year. She is built to “replace the Company’s ketch Edna which was lost last year off i’arcnga Heads.

The Orient Line. Sydney, undci date 11th October, writes as follows: “Our London managers advise us that pleasure cruises have been arranged for the 1925 season. These cruises will be undertaken by the Ormonde. In addition to the Norway Fiord cruises, of which there will be ifive, there will be a cruise to the North Cape on the conclusion of the Mediterranean cruise and- :> cruise to the northern capitals _ on the conclusion of the It is proposed to inc.ude a • call at Gallipoli when the steamer is making the Mediterranean enrse _ and, weather permitting, it is the intention that the vessel shall visit both Anzac and Cape Holies to enable passengers to go ashore at those two places. “The Mediterranean crusisc cab either be taken, in two portions or as a whole cruise, passengers so desiring can leave the cruise at Toulon and return to England in B.M.S. Oronsay, which is due at Toulon on the same day as the Ormonde. Passengers desiring to jour the steamer at Toulon can travel from England in the Osteriey also due at Toulon Bth Mnv.
“You will notice, therefore, that passengers proceeding home in the (Irensay could join the Ormonde at Toulon for the second half of the Mediterranean cruise and this portion of the cruise should p:ove very attractive to Australian and New Zealand passengers.”
